Projects and Announcements
HVAC Upgrade
The HVAC replacement project is underway! At a total cost of just under $200K, we are planning to install six smaller units and remove the current large unit in place. The project is planned to be completed by Dec 2022.
Security Upgrades
Successful installation of high strength security films & security surveillance cameras in & outside the building at a cost of nearly $93K. The project was completed with assistance from CALOES and Federal government funding. Project competed in 2021
Search for New ICZ Facility
Search for New ICZ facility is in progress with support from several ICZ members.
The goal is to introduce new services for the growing community and for a full time Islamic School. The new facility team is working with professionals from the community to understand the requirements of the new facility. We are also evaluating potential obstacles in this process. The process is due to be completed within 2022.
Audio/Video Upgrade
Completed upgrade of Audio Video Equipment. This upgrade has resulted in a significant improvement in the quality of the delivery of our on-premises and online content
Afghan Refugee Settlement Project
Alhumdulillah with the support of the community, we raised over $28,000 with support from 25 volunteers to purchase supplies for Afghan families in need. 100 quality backpacks with complete school supplies for 50 elementary and 50 upper school kids . 60 bed frames and 50 mattresses and 160 fully packed grocery bags for a month to two months worth of groceries per family, were distributed.
In addition, a team of volunteers continue to collect and deliver donations of various household items across the Bay Area such as cribs, dining tables, chairs, sofas, microwaves, TVs, etc!
